In the past hour, worldwide consumption of petroleum exceeded 100 million gallons.In the United States, there are 200,000 miles of pipeline, 170,000 gas stations and 243 million vehicles using petroleum fuels.In this world approximately 600 million passenger cars burn more than 1 cubic meter of fuel every year.There is a lot of pollution from the automobiles. If we move outside the house we can see that a lot of toxic gases coming out from the vehicles.And we fell irritated by seeing those gases.
Scientists are trying to invent the vehicles which do not let any gases into the atmosphere.
Here is one of awesome car that do not let any gas into the atmosphere.
And here is another important and interesting feature in this car (i.e) it do not require any petrol or diesel to run. The only thing that is needed to run is Air..! In this the compressed air is filled inside and make the piston to turn.Because of this reason the car is named as Airpod.
The AirPod is a small four-wheel mini-car that uses compressed air to move pistons in a 5.45 hp internal combustion engine.
It has a range of 60 miles on a single tank of air and uses a small motor to compress outside air to keep the tank full.
It is 3-4 seat car..!

And its speed is 80km/hr.And the cost of this car is $10,000.
It will be available in still less costs after 5years.
And the amazing feature of this car is we do not need licence to run this car..!

And here is one of the video on the Airpod..!

Hope u all enjoy this post..!

We all know that scientists are inventing new devices every now and then..
And we all know that technology on Earth is improving very rapidly..
And in all inventions computer is said to be one of the amazing inventions..
When we compare computersof olden days and the computers we are using now we found lot of difference in them.First we were using Desktops and now laptops but this doesn't stop here

.Here is another one which we will be using in future..
That is Rolltops, yes as we all know that Desktops means which will be on a desk or a stand and Laptop means which easily sits on ones lap.In the same way Rolltops means which can be rolled easily..
It is similar to Laptop but Rolltops will have much lesser size when compare to Laptops..
And u can think that this will not have more features than Laptops.No, this will also have all the required features that a computer should have.

This Rolltop is going to have:
* Screen touch
* Loudspeaker
* Flexible OLED display
* Powerdata cable
* Webcam etc..

This Rolltops makes us more easy for carrying it from one place another place.
So this techonology is going to rock..!

U can see Rolltop in the below video:

Frndz here is an intresting topic to tell u..
U all been knowing about some of the future technologies but here is one of the super future technology which helps the physical world to intract with the digital world..!
This was done by Pranav Mistry, a PhD student in the Fluid Interfaces Group

at the MIT Media Lab.
He has developed this sixth sense technology..!
Sixth sense is a wearable gestural interface device developed by Pranav Mistry.
This guy by inventing this device has crossed the boundaries of imagination..!
He has used a camera to understand simply human gestures.. Now digital world can be managed by simple human gestures ..!
People around the world can build their own wearable 'SixthSense'  which uses a camera that understands human gestures  at a cost of less than Rs 15,000 ($300) by obtaining the software he developed for free in the next few months.

U can understand this better by watching this video:

This is the video of Pranav Mistry explaining about the sixth sence techonology:

Generate electricity by just walking..!

Posted by Unknown On Tuesday, March 8, 2011 4 comments

Hai frndz here is one of the intresting thing to tell u..
U all know that in some countries there is a lack of electricity due to lack of power generating stations..
And we all know that there are many ways to generate electricity but here is one of the amazing techonology which allows u to generate electricity just by walking..!
Kohei Hayamizu, a Japanese engineer has worked on this idea..
That is piezoelectricity "a property certain materials

which generate electric current when they are squeezed or pressed".
This man has converted an square meter of ground in Japan into an electricity generator.And each time a person walks over this area electricity is generated.
In twenty days, with 9 lakh people passing over this area has generated an enough energy to power 1,422 televisions for an hour..!
And this man (Hayamizutells that similar systems could be installed on a wide range of scales, from small systems embedded on mobile phones, to huge systems installed on highways that would harness the electricity generated by the movement of cars and big trucks.
This is one of the future techonology which makes to generate electricity in a very easy way.
By this each and every city will get sufficient energy by just walking..!

Here is two videos which would explain u better about this concept..

1) Here is this video of  Hayamizu a Japanese engineer  testing this gadget.
   Language: Japanese

2) Here is a another video of Generating energy from footsteps at a busy school
    Language: English

CFL- A energy saver..!

Posted by Unknown On Saturday, March 5, 2011 4 comments

A compact fluorescent lamp (CFL), also known as a compact fluorescent light or energy saving light (or less commonly as a compact fluorescent tube), is a type of fluorescent lamp. Many CFLs are designed to replace an incandescent lamp and can fit into most existing light fixtures formerly used for incandescents.

Compared to general service incandescent lamps giving the same amount of visible

light, CFLs use less power and have a longer rated life. In the United States, a CFL has a higher purchase price than an incandescent lamp, but can save over US$40 in electricity costs over the lamp's lifetime.Like all fluorescent lamps, CFLs contain mercury, which complicates their disposal.

CFLs radiate a different light spectrum from that of incandescent lamps. Improved phosphorformulations have improved the perceived colour of the light emitted by CFLs such that some sources rate the best "soft white" CFLs as subjectively similar in colour to standard incandescent lamps.
The average rated life of a CFL is between 8 and 15 times that of incandescents. CFLs typically have a rated lifespan of between 6,000 and 15,000 hours, whereas incandescent lamps are usually manufactured to have a lifespan of 750 hours or 1,000 hours.

The lifetime of any lamp depends on many factors including operating voltage, manufacturing defects, exposure to voltage spikes, mechanical shock, frequency of cycling on and off, lamp orientation, and ambient operating temperature, among other factors. The life of a CFL is significantly shorter if it is turned on and off frequently.

Plastic as a conductor..!

Posted by Unknown On Friday, March 4, 2011 4 comments

Hai frndz we all know that till now plastic is used as insulator due to their poor conductivity..
But it is found that in future these plastics will be used as conductors.Scientists claim to have found a new type of plastic which conduct electricity..!
A team of scientists placed a thin film of metal on the plastic sheet and then mixed it with a polymer surface using an ion beam.The resulted

material was found to conduct electricity..! Prof Paul Meredith of University of Queensland told that “What the team has been able to do here is use an ion beam to tune the properties of a plastic film so that it conducts electricity like the metals used in the electrical wires themselves, and even to act as a superconductor and pass electric current without resistance if cooled to low enough temperature.”
The new material formed is stronger, flexible and a cheap conducting plastic film.
The use of plastic has banned by the government  due to the difficulty in its disposal, this newely invented plastic might further increase that problem..!

Junction-less transistor..!

Posted by Unknown On 1 comments

Hai frndz now i am going to tell u about an intresting matter..
Everyone knows that for every transistor there is a junction between the two sandwitched regions..

BUT

The scientists from ireland-based Tyndall national institute has undergone some researches and have done the worlds first junctionless transistor..

On a single microprocessor, there are approximately two billion transistors, so advances in the structure and manufacturability of transistors are significant..
The team has succeeded in making it at 50 nanometres, which is 20 times smaller than the transistors that were initially published in Nature Nanotechnology.
Due to demand in features of electronic devices had made the manufacturers to pack more features into the electronic devices..
The newly built junctionless transistor is said to be 30% more energy efficient than the transistor which has junction..

And this transistor has some different characteristics compared to previous..

U can just watch this video so that u can understand this topic better..

Here is the video by Prof.Roger..
